LEXX continues it's culinary evolution naming Eric Zediker as executive chef who brings his talent to an innovative array of gastro pleasing offers. Along with our long standing house favorites: Osso Bucco, Morroccan Stew, Mac N'Cheese and the famous Lexx Burger are Duck 2 Ways, Roasted Chicken, Seafood and Vegetable Paella as well as daily Pasta and Fish Specials. Other additions are The Owners Reserve Wines by the Glass and ever changing Micro Brews on draft. Lexx is grateful for it's being awarded "Best of Lexington" in numerous categories. The Boston Globe said of Lexx: "Wholesome food is the concept of this resolutely American menu, Lexx does classics right. It's what you want in a neighborhood place, A friendly greeting, good food and a sense of belonging...dining virtuously and well."
People love this place, but for me, it seemed just a perfectly acceptable restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice, and the food is good, but not great.
My husband had the pork osso bucco which was done very nicely. I had one of the daily specials, a jambalaya, and I really know better than to order jambalaya from a place that does not specialize in either seafood or cajun cuisine. It was seafood and sausage in a spicy tomato-y broth over rice (I think). It was OK - no complexity to the flavors.
We should give this place another try. I know quite a few people who love Lexx.
