Some of the best food i have ever had in my entire life! i go there at least 3 times a week and i feel so at home every time i step foot thru the door. i always order the chicken parm and take some home for lunch the next day. The drinks are really affordable and are huge! They even catered a wedding i recenetly went to and it was everything you expect with 5 star service! i highly recommend this place! Real Italian food homemade. Simply the BEST!
I have had better service at roadside biker bars. Never got to the food because my wife and I spent 15 minutes waiting to be greeted, 10 minutes of the same once we were seated, and walked out after another 10 minutes while our drinks never seemed to come.
I went here the other day with a bunch of my friends. And, other than a little bit of a longer wait for our food in comparison to some other places, the service and food were outstanding! I've been there before, and every time I go back, I have a renewed excitement about having found my new favorite place to eat. I'll be back soon. Food was amazing! Veal parm is like nothing you'll find elsewhere, and the atmosphere was so cozy. Our waitress, I think her name was Becca, was so friendly, cute, and truly seemed to enjoy her job. She added to the whole positive experience. And I'm pretty sure I speak for the group of us. We all talked about the food and the service, and how much we love that place.
My family and I have been to their restaurant in Carver (it is a central meeting spot for all of us on Friday nights) several times but it seems that everytime we go there, the experience just gets worse. We usually get the same waitress and it is obvious that she does not like her job and she should retire. The food quality over the past six months or so has dropped tremendously. But the final straw was the management who was so rude to us (and she knows us) when she seated us and to a waitress that we decided that we would never go back!
Average. Seriously, just average. I've been there many times over the years and they consistently over-cook the chicken and the pizza lacks pizza sauce, even if you ask for extra sauce.
There are much better pizza places around.
I read the reviews and most were raving about the great food at Mama Mia's. The prices are resonable fortunate for the unfortunate who decide to dine there. The eggplant though tender was absolutely tasteless. The bread was a spongy blob. I took the eggplant off the bread because it wasn't worth the calories. My mother-in-law and husband both ordered checken dishes are were very disapointed. The portions were generous but overrun by the pasta. You were unable to taste the marsala or piccata because there was way too much pasta. Shouldn't pasta come on the side with sauce? Plus the chicken was all curled up. Not very appetizing to look at. The pizza actually wasn't bad and my son's kids meal was good. When we received the bill my children were charged for their sodas even though the menu states that children's beverages are included in the cost of the meal. I ordered the eggplant sub only and the waitrees added fries which were an addtional $1.00. I brought this to her attention and she did remove these charges ($5.50 in total). The restaurant itself was clean with a great view of the water. We would go back for pizza but that would be it. Some of the worst Italian food we've ever eaten. And to think they have been able to open 4 or 5 other Mama Mia locations. Good Italian food must be scarce in MA.
