Middle East (The)
The Middle East is not only a moderately priced Lebanese restuarant but also a place to enjoy live bands, CD releases and music shows. The food is delicious and the ambiance is lively. The bar upstairs keeps busy almost every night with events or theme parties. Every Sunday, there is a belly dancing show, the entry to which is free.
The Middle East has been a bastion of the Boston Rock scene for years and loads of great and now famous bands have played there. But besides the Rock, they also have great Middle Eastern food. The service is good, could be better but the place is usually jumping during dinner time. Start your evening there with some Hummus, Baba Ganooj and some Lamb Kabab's and move into either the Corner, Upstairs or Downstairs for some great live Rock and Pabst Blue Ribbon or Zuzu for some killer cocktails and cool DJ's. One of my favorite clubs in the Boston area and I try to go there as often as I can.
With 3 stages filled with local and national acts every night - and some of the best middle eastern cuisine in the region - this Central Sq. mainstay packs`em in with a laid-back crowd consisting mostly of rockers and students. A must-visit. I said a must-visit, don't argue with me.
Great Middle Easteren food at an unbeatable price...drinks price are crazy low My drink usually is $7 - $9 in Boston at the Middle East $5....Also Great to see Show (music) check their website for acts.....Great people watching too
From top star national acts to up and coming locals, this is the best spot in Boston to hear rock'n roll in all it's glorious permutations. With four rooms to choose from a single night might include salsa, roots rock, goth and jazz. Hey, that could even describe one band here in Boston!
