Ryles Jazz Club
The jazz plays downstairs while cabaret shows take the upstairs stage at this old-time venue in hip Cambridge. The weekly entertainment schedule includes a popular Latin dance night every Thursday, with free merengue and salsa lessons. Ryles Jazz Club serves dinner entrees including steaks, sandwiches, chicken wings, seafood and desserts. There is a jazz brunch every Sunday.
Salsa!: Every Tuesday there is Salsa night where you can take lessons for beginners or advanced dancers. The atmosphere and teachers are very friendly. The crowd is great. There are good dancers. Who comes to Boston for visit, Ryles is the Best place where to go for Salsa!
My friend and I walked into Ryle's expecting to pay an exorbitant amount of money for standard brunch fare. We took the plunge anyway, hoping the live music would redeem the not-too-interesting dining experience. But we soon noticed that Ryle's offered a variety of dishes for not-too-shabby prices. And when the Bavarian French Toast and Boursin Omelette hit the table we were impressed by the quality as well. Sadly, the band was on a break for the large part of our meal, and the service wasn't as quick as it might have been. Still, if you're looking for brunch in Inman Square -- and especially if you have guests from out of town -- I don't think you can beat Ryle's for atmosphere and variety.
Ryles is a warm, welcoming atmosphere with great eggs benedict. The live jazz band is so good the music adds to conversation, fills in for lack of conversation, can make your meal taste even better, and aids in recovering from a late night out.
