Jeveli's Restaurant, E Boston

The reason I love Jevelis over any North End eatery is because you won't find tourists in East Boston. Every around you is from the neighborhood and a million animated stories float around you before you're brought to your seat. The menu is classic, with a surprisingly great seafood selection. Jevelis offers one of the best chicken parmigiana dishes in the area, but explore the menu. Bag salads take it down a notch, but they're always cold and served with a crispy hunk of bread. The specials are usually fun and tasty, but the menu itself is already large enough. Waitstaff makes me feel like I'm bring served by my Ma and I love it.

Just ate here tonight. Very inexpensive. I had the lobster pie. It was ok, but had alot of stuffing and butter. Very filling. The bruchetta appetizer was ok. It had large chunks of tomato and was almost too big. The crab cake, I thought had too much stuffing and not enough crab like in Maryland. Service was ok, but had to ask twice for refills on soda, not automatic. The ambiance was very good. The lights and sconces were stained glass and very neat. It is a neighborhood restaurant and quaint. Caesar salad was good.
