We only had appetizers but the french fries (potato frites) are fresh and really good. The flavor combinations sometimes miss but stick to the basics and you'll be fine. The drinks are fabulous.

Definitely not great, but not deserving of the scorn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/30/09
The food is decent but not great - this is definitely a people-watching place given the lcoation on Boylston. Still, I tend to think that Vox isn't as bad as some people do, and think it's a worthy spot to meet over brunch or dinner.

Great Drinks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/25/09
Vox is a relatively upscale place in a very modern way. As their name suggests they have great vodka drinks. The food is pretty good but maybe not as good as the price would suggest. It is a very trendy spot and the outdoor space makes for fantastic people watching in the summer. This is a good bar for great hard alcohol drinks but I'm not sure it would be my first choice for restaurants.

Martinis!!!!

Great martinis! It is perfect for a high class night with girls. The food is delicious and so is the food too. Make sure you bring your Boston money with you, you will definitely need it!

We really tried to eat here, really. The menu is what we call in Yiddish: umbachachaka. Weird combinations of ingredients sent us out the door. Well, that and the blaring music. Oh, one more thing, you can't eat here if you're over 25; it says so right on the menu.

It wouldn't be fair to call their entrees "dinner". The portion size doesn't come close to reasonably filling me up, but the presentation and quality are certainly there. This place is trendy and has a fun bar upstairs to meet friends.

Average food in a noisy atmosphere. There are much better restaurants to choose in the Back Bay.

Not impressive. Food was okay, but it smelled like beer everywhere.

I have only been for drinks at this establishment. Unfortunately the scene rubbed me the wrong way. Pretentious people, expensive yet weak drinks, and crowded... Sad. I wanted to love it!

Great place to grab a drink after work, but don't think you're only one with that bright idea.
