Try this exclusive dessert bar after a performance in the Theater District. The intimate, candlelit-dining area is perfect for couples sipping after-dinner drinks and friends sharing a dessert. Oversized mirrors above the handsome bar allow you to watch the dessert chefs work their magic. A take-out counter in back sells treats during daylight hours. Creme brulee, chocolate espresso mousse, strawberry bavarian, tiramisu and luscious mini tarts are among the best available. The apple cranberry pie, carrot cake, pear almond tart, and "Chocolate Decadence" cake also wonderful. Finale serves beer, wine and cordials.
I have nothing negative to say about Finale.
As for the positives, while I haven't eaten dinner there, I use Finale in a very specific way. If you or your date at the time loves Creme Brulee, or another dessert item that usually comes at the end of an expensive dinner, run to Finale. While you can eat there, the takeout selection is what keeps me coming back. A perfect sized dessert for a reasonable amount of money and little hassle.
I went here with Jo and Don tonight... I have been here before.. and loved it.. Everytime I go, the people that work there are so friendly and nice... well, Wouldn't you be with dessert like this around you at all times??? I always feel like a princess when I go here.. Please go and treat yourself.. ladys... go and feel like the princess that you are for a night.. i promise you dessert is a better lover... ;-o
Finale is wonderful. My husband and I had dessert at the Park Square location about a week ago on a Sunday night. The desserts were some of the best I've ever had. My husband loved the Creme Brulee and my Tiramisu was the best I have found outside of Italy! Not only does Finale have a large selection of desserts, which all looked great, but they also have an extensive drink menu. I enjoyed the Cloud-nine hot toddie. The desserts were around $10 each, about what you would pay at a nice restaurant. The wine was $7-$12 a glass and the mix drinks were generally $8-$12.
We happen to stubble on a great deal too. At the visitor center at the Commons I picked up an American Express coupon sheet. One of the coupons was for a buy one get one free dessert!
On our next trip to Boston, Finale will be high on my list of places to return too. If only we had discovered it earlier on the trip!
