Bright colors, excitement and delicious food. You grab the food that you want, give it to one of the chefs, and they cook it right in front of you. Overall, it was a good time, dinner is a little expensive while lunch is a good deal. buffet style...
Fire + Ice is a great place to take anyone! You pick all of the elements of your meal, then bring it to an enormous grill and watch the charismatic chefs cook it up to perfection. Once you return to your table, your drinks are waiting, as well as warm tortillas and white rice. Since you're not ordering from a menu, you don't see your server too often, but they are all very attentive and pleasant. People with food allergies might want to watch out, since everyone's food is cooked on the same grill. I believe there is a separate area in the kitchen where other cooks can prepare your meal if you're a vegetarian and don't want any chance of meat being in your food. Overall, I've had an excellent experience every time, and would recommend it to anyone!
I personally prefer the food over anything else at a restaurant. Fire and Ice offers two possibilities for dinner buffet, for about $10 you can fill your plate twice, or for about $15 you have unlimited, although the way you can pile your food on, I doubt you will want to go up more than twice, especially with the time it takes to wait for your food to cook, and it gets packed in here at some times.
The main feature of this restaurant is the way the food is cooked. You pick your food from seafood, shellfish, chicken, pork, beef, etc, alongside multiple veggies, with MANY different possibilities. Pick a sauce, and then bring it up to this giant circular stove where multiple chefs cook your food. They often cook it in an assembly line fashion and herein lies the problem. If you get shellfish, it's cooked the same amount of time as steak, and whether your food is overcooked or not, depends on how many people are eating at the restaurant at the time.
Overall the quality of the food is great, make sure you are good at picking out foods you know will taste good together, and make sure to not pick out anything you think might overcook. The ambiance is great, service seems to be related to how busy they are, but don't plan on going for the all you can eat dinner buffet unless you plan on staying for 2+ hours. Drinks are standard price for Boston and that not particularly cheap or expensive.
Definitely a good time!! My friends and I love this place. I love being able to see them prepare the food right in front of me. I didnt think I would've enjoyed as much as I did but it was awesome. My friends and I try and meet up here once every couple of weeks to just catch up and relax since we barely see each other. It is definitely worth it.
Fire and Ice is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to before!..I loved everything about it..the food, the whole scenery, the service, the guys making the food, and definitely the music!..The first time I went there, I was very excited that there was finally a restaurant that I loved and that wasnt too expensive..it's actually a pretty good price for all you can eat. I've been there three times already, and it's most definite not to be my last!
