Great Comfort Food for A Cold Night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/6/07
Stumbled upon Thai Basil after strolling along Newbury in this cold November night. The restaurant were near empty and all four of us were briskly seated. We ordered the usual Thai staple: Tom Yam Goong, Pad Thai, Vegetarian Stir Fry, Pineapple Fried Rice and Mixed Seafood Basil in Spicy Gravy. We have a vegetarian among us, so we opted for seafood in all our orders. The food were quick to arrive. Being a regular Thai food fanatic in Thai Town, Hollywood, CA, the dishes were pretty good and the prices are generally reasonable for a Newbury location.
Service was mediocre. the waitstaff were not conversant. We were not offered any desserts. We would return for dinner again if we could get a parking space.
