Ate here at a family gathering and loved it. Awesome ivy wall, great atmosphere and decor. You can eat outside or inside and the service is very attentive! Most importantly the food was excellent. Great place for a couple or family style!

This place is to die for! If there is any steak you must get it is the bone-in filet of beef. The waitstaff was super

My first impression of Abe & Louie's was poor, as the host couldn't seem to find the reservation I had called in two days earlier, and curtly told me to stand in the lobby and wait until the rest of my party arrived. Dinner ran us about $92 each, including one drink, one steak, one side dish, and one dessert with coffee each, including tax and tip. There has got to be better food in Boston for this price. My Caesar salad was dry and bland. The bread assortment was rather dry also, and included only dark breads. My $13 glass of wine was a rather frugal pour. The chocolate layer cake, advertised as being made with imported chocolate, was disapointing too. Plenty of cake, but nothing special about the chocolate -- and, you guessed it, pretty dry. The steaks, mashed potatoes, and Abe & Louie's salad with apples and pistachios went over better. We also thought our waiter was very nice. But not enough to get us to return. Noise level was very high -- lots of heavy-drinking, loud-talking men at neighboring tables.

5 Star filet mignon for me. 5 Star sirloin salad for the lady. Phenom crispy bread basket. Elegant surroundings. Service second to none! (Thank you Max)Next time the Prime Rib is all mine;(served after 3PM). You get what you pay for.

My favorite steakhouse in Boston. Super service, food is always great, and the price is what it is. you dont even need a knife to cut thr steak. it's a dining experience.

OK and that's it. Overpriced and crowded. Not nearly in the fist tier of steakhouses.

Not worth it at all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/07
We visited the restaurant in Boca Raton and was very disappointed. For an extremely expensive restaurant it was not up to par of Ruth Chris or Smith and Wolensky. We were stuck in a terribly small table even though we had a reservation and the place was not crowded. While the food was ok it is definately not worth the price to be paid in quality or service. We will not be back again.
