Bacco Ristorante

Description

'This spacious, romantic eatery pairs contemporary Italian cuisine with great views of Boston's historic North End. Bacco's first floor is home to a beautiful mahogany and granite bar where patrons drink from an extensive wine list and catch sports highlights on one of two flat-screen TVs. The restaurant's French doors are open during warmer months, allowing guests to feel like part of the action along Salem Street. Diners on the more formal second level devour plates of linguini carbonara, chicken cacciatore and lobster ravioli while enjoying views of the city.'- Citysearch Boston

The food was really good, and almost reasonably priced for the fact that it was all a little more interesting than the average italian fare. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. I wasn't amazed by the cheese-ball appetizer or the bread, but the entree (butternut squash) was pretty good. The environment was a little trendy, crowded, and loud. We had a table by the window, which was nice, but it was also right in front of the bathroom. We were also right by the bar with a sports game playing, so men were hollering in the window all night about scores and plays...right in our faces. I kind of found it to be typical of the Boston experience, but others might be less charmed. There are more romantic and relaxing experiences just off the main roads in the North End.

Best Italian experience I have ever had.

Beautiful restaurant, service, food and overall fantastic dining experience. The waiter. manager and all the employees where very, very pleasant. Magnifican large bar overlooking the North End with large folding doors which gives the feeling of a Roman restaurant. Can't wait to return.
