The food was really good, and almost reasonably priced for the fact that it was all a little more interesting than the average italian fare. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. I wasn't amazed by the cheese-ball appetizer or the bread, but the entree (butternut squash) was pretty good.
The environment was a little trendy, crowded, and loud. We had a table by the window, which was nice, but it was also right in front of the bathroom. We were also right by the bar with a sports game playing, so men were hollering in the window all night about scores and plays...right in our faces. I kind of found it to be typical of the Boston experience, but others might be less charmed. There are more romantic and relaxing experiences just off the main roads in the North End.
