The outstanding menu, featuring pasta, chicken, veal and seafood, highlights a spectrum of lavish Italian specialties that are sure to please discriminating palates. The service was terrible, because they do not serve desserts, even though, the waitress was kind. I asked the waitress why they do not serve desserts and she said that the restaurant respects local chains around the North End. It is like that she was saying to me that the restaurant respects local chains than the customers. Of course, it was not the fault of the waitress. I blame the owner of the restaurant for terrible and poor management.
Other North End restaurants serve desserts. Therefore, the owner of Al Dente restaurant does not know any better. He respects more his merchandise than the customers.
I will never go there anymore.
Made a reservation, which they apparently had no intention of honoring. Kept telling us we'd be seated in aother 5, 10 or 15 minutes, while we waited, and waited, and waited. Polite efforts to get a realistic estimate about seating were rebuffed with surprising rudeness.
There are too many good Italian restaurants in the North End to waste time on this one.
Went there for the first time and the food was awesome. Waitresses were phenominal and very friendly and outgoing. Suggested items that were not on the menu (which is one of the meals I chose - veal with Rissoto in a three-cheese sauce). Very generous amounts. Plan on going again in two weeks.
Had their special cannoloni, which is excellent. Great service in a fun part of town. Good atmosphere, made to feel welcome. Recommend reservations or you will have a long wait. We plan to return soon.
The setting is in the quaint, romantic North End. The restaurant is cozy, and the crab cakes are amazing. I went on my first date in Boston here, and I returned several times with friends and family. The staff was friendly, and the room was a warm escape on cool fall/winter nights. I had a great experience every time.
This seafood restaurant serves old fashioned New England fare in a great waterfront setting. Some might call the decor tacky,
with ships' wheels, lobster pots and fishnets adorning the wood paneled walls, but it is reassuring that places like ...

menu entrees. The restaurant also serves the old standbys with new twists like twice breaded Chicken Parmesan. There is ...
This cheery Irish restaurant and pub has a unique story: It was built in Ireland and shipped in crates across
the Atlantic, then reassembled at this Government Center locale. Lunchtime sees business people crowding in for a hearty midday ...
