Pagliuca's Restaurant Incorporated, Boston

My 5 year old son iked it almost as much as my wife & I did.

Start with the Salad which features good size chunks of cheese and light olive oil dressing.Then dip your fresh bread into a dish of extra virgin olive oil while you wait for your meal.Your can't go wrong with the mussels over a bed of pasta in garlic and oil...All served by hard-working friendly folks which makes your time there special ! oh- and go back often....Enjoy !!

Pagliuca's is my husband's favorite restaurant in the North End, and after he took me there for the first time 3 years ago I found out why!! It feels like home. Brick walls, with cafe tables, there is nothing too stuffy or dressed up about this Italian restaurant. The food is delightful,with enough items on the menu for anyone's palet. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant, this isn't your place, but a good meal in an intimate atmosphere, it is definitely your place!!

I feel bad for the contributors to this board who had bad experiences at Pagliuca's... but I've never had an unpleasant meal there. The place can get crowded if you go on busy nights, but with only 15 or so tables, what do you expect? I have eaten at many, many restaurants in the North End and this is, above and beyond, by far, my favorite place in Boston. The food has always been delicious and, while the service is sometimes lacking due to the crowds, everyone has always been very pleasant. My boyfriend and I like to go there- it's very romantic- but I also enjoy a visit with a few girlfriends and splitting a bottle every once in a while!

I took my wife here for her birthday. The food and service were excellent. Try the carbonara! A lot of Italian restaurants use too much egg. Pagliuca's does it perfect! You'll love the atmoshere, too. We're definitely coming back next time were in Boston!
