What a wonderful restaurant!!
I would say gathering place, because it was so comfortable there, but it is too small to allow people to hang out too long. The seating was VERY tight, but the other customer's and staff seemed so comfortable with it that it put me at ease. I was taken in by the look of the place, fantastic old building with tin ceilings and brick walls...not something we see too much in the Midwest. But, more importantly the food was excellent!! I truly enjoyed the fresh bread before my meal of Chicken Parmiagiana (sorry I know they are great with seafood, but I'm allergic to all types). It was served with authentic flair, the pasta served side from the chicken and it was prepared perfect! I truly enjoyed my dinner there so much that it inspired me to right my first review. Thank you to all at Giacomo's.
