Had lunch at Sel de le Terre today (Monday) and the food was excellent, but the service was very very slow. I had eaten before at the restaurant in Natick and found it great, with very prompt service. We wanted a leisurely lunch, but this was much too slow.
I will never forget this evening. It was my 23rd anniversary and my husband took me to the SelDe La Terre, which is my favorite restaurant, but what I did not expect was the elegant versailles fashion show that walked about the restaurant while we were dining. The were all gowns designed by Bruna Costumes from Providence, R.I. All were originals themed around the french court of Versailles with Marie antonette and Louie auguste. This was the most enjoyable evening. The models passed out their cards with a coupon for an original Marie Antonette costumes to have the design of my choice. We go to a fancy costume event where people dress to the nines. Great night.
I've been this restaurant twice, 1 year apart. It's a bit pricy. But the food and the service is excellent. Whatever you eat there, it's definitely worth what you pay for. Don't forget to try French cheese plate.
I had a wonderful dinner last night. Wonderful food and just the right amount of attention by the staff. The first and only thing that disturb me .. The manager (NICK) was absolutely dispicable!! Other than all of that I Love the place and intend to go there more and more!
This is the most inviting and comfortable French restaurant in Boston. Their food, wine, and breadboard are exquisite, and the staff is very warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's business casual/not stuffy, but isn't the slightest bit corporate or cold... it still has a gorgeous, well-thought out color and design scheme and is so comfortable, you'll lose track of hours. It's not as expensive as La' Espalier, and, in my opinion, better in general. I would probably eat here almost every day if I didn't occasionally like to cook at home! :)
Excellent food, service and ambience. We chose it because it had a kids menu, and we had a 4-year old dining with us. We got to have our fine dining experience without sacrificing the 4-year old's evening. Beautiful decor inside, but we chose to sit outside. A little hectic with construction, but overall a great meal.
Great food, wines, ambience at a great price. Their Wednesday night menu- fixe price-fixe offering provides innovative menu selections along with a sampling of ( what they consider) appropriate wines for eight total bill of under $40.00.
Seating is European style (you may find yourself at a table with a number of others), but for me, that
