Black Rose, Boston

Check your receipt at The Black Rose. While paying for a dinner/date last winter I noticed the tab was [clearly] over charged. Asking for an itemized bill I pointed-out the inaccuracies to the bartender. Even with printed proof he would not take responsibility and quickly escalated the situation by summoning the door bouncers. Well, I paid the excessive bill (plus tip) and then had their goon bouncer’s attack me into Mass General. Now 9 months of mri’s, x-rays, painkillers, rotator cuff surgery, and physical therapy I am just getting on my feet…Cheers!!

I go to the Black Rose everytime I'm in Boston. Great place, great music, great drinks, great fun! They have awesome mashed potatoes too!! I think the best I've had!

1st time in Boston, we decided to eat at the Black Rose. We were great with a friendly greeting. We were seated upstairs and the service was not professional. The food was cold we ordered Buffalo strips and they were cold inside meaning to frozen food. My friend ordered a chicken diner and the entire meal was cold from the chicken to the vegetables. I ordered a Black Rose burger and the fries and meat was cold. We dint bother to complain because we just drove 4.5 hours and we were tired and hungry. We all said the food was cold and not good. We were a block from the market where the food is fabulous. The best thing was the Jameson whiskey it was cheap but the Guinness was flat and watered down. When you see Black Rose keep going. PS I was wearing a New York Yankee Baseball cap.

Really loved the place.Went there for lunch and had a wonderful time.The food was great and so was the service.Will make it a stop on our next trip into Boston.

We loved the atmosphere, food, and entertainment. A great time experiencing the local Irish culture and music.

If not for any other reason you must come by the Rose on a Saturday or Sunday and try their traditional Irish Breakfast it is the best breakfast I've ever have had and I keep coming back again and again for more.
