Description

Lala Rokh, established in 1995, is located in the heart of the historic Beacon Hill, and is the namesake of Thomas Moore's 1817 romance novel. We feature Persian cuisine lovingly prepared and garnished with fragrant herbs and spices that we import directly. The recipes have been handed down from generation to generation to us from our mother who still tastes everything for quality. The restaurant is decorated with our family's one of a kind museum quality artwork. Our staff will do everything in their power to welcome you as we would to our home and provide impeccable service. Our specialty cocktails and wines have been created and picked specifically matched to our cuisine. Winner of numerous national and local awards by Gourmet, Zagat and Boston Magazine.

I live in Boston and have been to Lala Rokh a number of times. The food has always been good, the staff friendly and usually efficient, and the prices reasonable. The best thing to me is the quiet ambience. While most Boston restaurants have very good food, they have become noiser than a cheap bar. Lala Rohk has stayed above the fray and offers a sophisticated atmosphere where you can have a good dinner and a friendly conversation.

Bad Service, Below Average Food, not a place for groups
By ,
We were on a group and the service was very bad and desorganized. In the end they charged us for dishes that we didn't eat and the manager was extremely arrogant and rude. Average Price was $88 although we didnt eat deserve and almost didnt drink any wine. Food was also below average.

Romantic, not too expensive, and different!
By ,
Prices are reasonable compared to many other restaurants nearby, and no where can you find the unique food offerings that the Persian Lala Rokh provides. A great place for a date!
