Fantasy Island, Salem

I beg to differ with the previous review. Fantasy Island has very tasty chinese food. We have been going there for years and have loved it from day one. The favorites we have are hot and sour soup, orange beef, pad thai, scallion pancakes, cr rangoon, and the drinks are very good. Be careful of their mai tais and scorpion bowls. We love the karaoke also!

Food average to poor. Lot's of grease, fried shrimp may as well be fried dough for all the shrimp in it. The Bartending Crew was slow and sometime unresponsive...engaged in conversations with a regular. The Bathrooms were AWFUL and I felt likle I needed to be decontaminated when I came out.

Great place to get together with friends for great drinks and food. the pork Won Ton soup is great as well as the House Fried Rice and Fatasteaks. they also have entertainment on the weekend nights which adds to the atmosphere

I recently went out for a quick lunch with a friend at Fantasy Island. Everything seemed to be fine until we got our food. I ordered the hot and sour soup, and it was horrible. I took one bite and told the waiter I would like it taken off my bill. He grabbed the spoon and swirled it around, smelled it and eventually took it away. I asked for a few sliced lemons to squeeze on my food when he brought back 3 half lemon wedges he threw them down on the table and quickly turned around in a very rude manor. After another 15 minutes he came back. I asked to have a box brought to the table. He grabbed my food, but I told him I wanted to package it myself. We argued for a minute and he eventually grabbed it off the table and took it behind a door. When he brought beck my food he forgot to wrap up my friends. When she asked for it he told her she didn�t ask for it wrapped up and came back a few moments later. When we got to the car her food was mixed together and only one of the three chicken fingers she had were in the container. The one chicken finger had a large bite out of it. I�m not an expert on the food service industry but I�m assuming this goes against more then one health code.

This place is indeed no fantasy.. I had the meanest waiter ever! My friend and I went there today and she asked for more lemons with her chicken fingers and the waiter hucked them on the table. I asked for more duck sauce and he was getting really mad. Then when the meal was over and my plate had a lot of food still on it the waiter grabbed it and ran off. This left me no time to ask for a doggy bag. I then asked him for my plate of food in a doggy bag and he once again got mad at me. In return I got my doggy bag with my food that was not touched by me and had been eaten from someone ELSE. He kept reminding us that our check was on the table making us feel uncomfortable! I will never return there it was the worst experience of my life!
