The Driftwood closes early in the day, I think by 2:00, and is a breakfast specialty restaurant. Long lines form outside on the weekend; there is no other place around to dine in for breakfast. While near the harbor, there are no views of it and seating is very close to other parties. I limited the food to a 3 rating because how much can one get excited over standard omelette fare with toast? If you want a hot breakfast, this is the place to go.
More than year round local and tourist destination. Has been rolling along for many more years that I know of, maybe 50 years. I'm a resident and I know.
Better than fair prices and lovely people serving. Atmosphere, just as it's been for years, combined with the smell of the sea a few feet away. Day trippers and world wide sailors are repeat customers !! Hugh M., Marblehead MA
So you know it's good, and not some tourist trap. It's the size of a shoebox, and probably seats 40. But it's worth it. The food is good, and the people are nice. Be sure to go on the weekend, so you can hace the Fried Dough
