I went there last night with my daugther (16 months). I always wanted to try this place but now I wish I didn't. The baby seat straps were ripped, so I couldn't buckle my daugther in. Her seat was were dirty, the same with our table. There were some food leftovers stuck to it. The bread was ok but I don't know what kind of dipping oil they used but it didn't taste good at all. I ordered salad with grilled apsaragus, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Asparagus was way to black, and they forgot to put tomatoes on the salad...Now this could be due to salmonella scare but then they need to adjust the menu and price. The lobster ravioli was good but I had 6 of them, other places have 8 (and cheaper). I also wasn't offered a drink menu, specials, or kids menu... Altough overall waitress was good, I ended waiting very long time for my check and at that point I couldn't wait to get out. At the end, this dinner experience definetly wasn't worth over $30...
The evening started out well. I had a planned a function at Focaccias and thought it would be the ideal place. The wait staff was very good. I had not paid for an open bar and did notice that the wait staff was not collecting money for drinks. Then when people were seated they decided to run tabs and assigned bills to tables, thank goodnes my friends were OK with this! I had paid for tea and soft drinks but of course this information was not relayed to my guests. The food came out and the antipasto did not look very apetizing so I did not try it. The stuff shells were over stuffed with riccotta and the grilled vegetable were way under cooked. The fish was good but really not very tasty and the chicken dish was OK. When the desert came I noticed I only recevied some mini pastries instead of the wonderful tiramasu, eclairs and connoli's I was expecting. When I spoke with the owner, he basically told me although I had prepaid for all of this, it is my fault that I had not spoken up at the event and therefore, bascailly TOO BAD. So beware if you hold a fuction at Focaccia's to make sure if anything is not right during the event that you make sure you speak up immediately.
