My husband and I love this place. We consider ourselves foodies so we are very picky. The dining area is an open concept full of uplifing chatter among the patrons. Don't expect 5 star treatment with the waitstaff. They are very down to earth and give a casual homey feel to your experience which I prefer. The food, however, is in our opinion exquisite. I feel it rivals the high end restaurants you'll find in Boston for a much more reasonable price.

Good food, but...

Have only been once. The food is really good, but the place is way too overpriced, for what they give you.

Love It!

I absolutely love this restaurant!! I have never gone and had a bad meal. Food is excellent, the waitstaff is good. The ambiance is very romantic and small. They have live music on weekend nights as well. It's pricey, but well worth it. You can't go wrong going here!

Great Food Nice Price
By ,
We've been to La Boniche quite a few times, so we definitely know the score there. It's a VERY well priced, low-key country French restaraunt with a contemporary flair. It can get noisy at times due to the cieling and hard surfaces, but if you go after the family crowd is gone you may still be able to have a romantic dinner there. Weekday lunch time is a great time to go, and you'll find a very reasonably priced lunch selections including some great salads in the $12-$14 range. The food for the most part is fantastic, although we've had so-so experience with their steaks. The following items are real stand outs: A pate appetizer for $10 that easily feeds three, it comes with an assortment of fresh fruit, spiced fruit compotes, and cheeses, which change with the seasons. My kids love to share it for lunch. There are always fabulous, very original soups for a measly $6 which change frequently. In addition, there is always one duck entree which also rotates, but is sure to tantilize any duck lover. (The cinnamon crusted duck is killer!) All in all, we put up with the spotty service, noise and locale because there simply is no other place around that can even compare to it. Be sure to check out their Valentines Day and New Years menus. If you go on New Years, we'll see you there!

The Best restaurant in Lowell!!!
By ,
This is one of those little Gem's you do not come across often. It is quiet, intimate and relaxed. The service is flawless and the food is truly excellent. This is the only great restaurant in the city of Lowell. it is not expensive yet elegant at the same time. This restaurant is a must to travelers in the Lowell area.
