I like the Viet Thai in Lowell because the food is good, price is right, and the service is quick. I tried the one in Dracut by the same owner, so the food is still good but there is lack of waiters, so it took 1 1/2 hours before I could get my food on the table. The restaurant was not busy at all. There were only 3 tables being served. I had a better experience at Blue Taleh. Let me just say, if I ever decide to eat at Viet Thai, I would only go to the one in Lowell even if it had no parking area.

I went to the restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean and everyone was really friendly. The prices were really good. My husband and I got appetizer and an entrees and only paid $30. And we had leftovers for the next day. The food was made to order and everything tasted so fresh. I will definetly become a regular customer.

This place is really yummy and so inexpensive. The Tom Yum soup is fantastic, as are the fresh spring rolls. They have done the decor over and there is a wonderful new lunch buffet, featuring lots of different dishes. My only gripe is the service is usually pretty slow and they don't serve alcohol. But overall, awesome place to eat - I live in NH and drive to Lowell for one of my favorite places to eat!

Went Saturday night. Restaurant is very clean, portions are large and very fresh & tasty. We tried many things and really enjoyed it. Well be back!

awesome new lunch buffet

I go to Viet Thai about once a week, usually to pick up dinner after a long work day. But I just heard about their new lunch buffet and checked it out eariler this week. It's fabulous! They cook the food in small batches so it's constantly fresh - and I got to try out some new dishes. All good and it's only $6.95.

I love the beef noodle soup and the ice-coffee. The place is not fancy but is clean. It is a very pleasant place to sit down and have a bowl of noodle soup. The one I like is C5, it has beef-ball and rare thin slice beef.

This restaurant has great food and a nice fish tank. It is great for groups gatherings before going out to the bars in Downtown Lowell.

Great little restaurant when in pinch for funds. I'm not sure how far I'd travel to eat here but the prices are unmatched. Best option in down town area. Plenty of vegaterian options but no buffet as mentioned above. Serves free iced green tea in Summer and Hot during the Winter months. Ordering drinks on the menu is rather tricky. Sometimes you get them other times not. Give the egg soda a go. Nothing beats the heat on a hot day like a room temp egg cracked into ice cold soda water! I have been told the ride is wild one....... so says Tom W. of Billerica, MA. Try the Mee Pad with tofu. Cheapest duck dishes in the state...but try the tofu. +EF+
