Rota-Spring Ice Cream, Sterling

Our family considers ourselves ice cream experts. We will travel far and wide for real home made ice cream. Rota Spring Ice Cream is A plus for quality and taste. It may not yet be on the Phanton Gourmets list but should be. We have been everywhere for ice cream and Rota Spring is easily one of the best.

Best place to get ice cream by far. Hate the bugs, but cant beat watching the goats and cows nearby. Choc pb cup in a waffle cone yummy. A kids size...is not a kids size:) Better then Meolas for the same price.

This is a great family place for ice cream in the sumertime. They have some animals in the back that my daughter loves to go see and the ice cream is very good.

Rota Spring has the best ice cream anywhere in Massachusetts. Erikson's in Maynard is trash compared to Rota, as is anywhere in Boston. Their ice cream, made with milk from cows who wander nearby the store, is the thickest and smoothest I've ever had. They offer all the traditional flavors in addition to inventive and wonderful creations like pumpkin, banana, and indian pudding. The cones are enormous as well -- a large cone is easily a full meal.

WE LOVE ROTA!!! Delicious, indulgent, innovative flavors. Pumpkin Pie is amazing, as is Apple Pie, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. VERY RICH. Portions are HUGE and if you just want a little ice cream don't go here. If you are like me and want a big bowlful or a cone that is like a skyscraper, they're the ones to visit!
