Publick House, Sturbridge

This is an incredibly over-rated restaurant. We went there once and had an awful valentines day meal. A year later we gave it one more shot... We were seated on big armchairs that you sink back so your eyes are at table level. The scallop appetizer arrived burnt and chewy. The chicken curry was over-cooked chicken with a bland gravy with no flavor - not even close to curry. I doubt the chef has ever eaten in an Indian restaurant! There was cork in the wine and the prime rib was overcooked and dry. Even the veg was overcooked - boiled until it was mushy. We paid and left, but let them know how bad the food was. There are GREAT restaurants in Sturbridge... this isn't one of them. You're better of going to Rovezzis, Perrenials or Cedar Street, they are all top notch places that serve food 100x better than the Publick House.
