a place to be totally AVOIDED...................sub par service and bland over-priced food !!!

The wait was a bit long but it was worth it because the food was great. The people who work there also have wonderful personalities and humor. The restaurant itself is also charming and the food is light, its not going to make you sick because you ate too much but its not going to leave you hungry either. And again its delicious. Overall the restaurant was a great experience and you should definiteley go.

my daughter,Dawn ,and I had the greatest lunch there on Wednesday. The place is great, warm and cozy. The staff is very friendly and I love the dishes...If you go to Stockbridge make sure you stop there.... Betsy from Durham,Ct

Once upon a table is a quaint little restaurant with very good down home cooking. I had a salmon sandwich on an English muffin. My daughter and her girlfriend both took in the Pesto Gnocchi. I only wish there was one near me. We went there after going to a Time share presentation. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Stockbridge area.

The food is always lick your plate clean. Go for lunch or dinner but make reservations because the space is small.The atmosphere and menu is better suited to adults. Always gourmet and fresh offerings.

A real gourmet restaurant in Stockbridge, intimate, friendly, with a creative menu, thoughtful food preparation, attentive staff, and an involved owner who often seats patrons and cleans tables.

wanted something a little less pricey than the Red Lion Inn, and went here for lunch. it was spectacular. shared the mac and cheese with bacon - divine - served piping hot with a delicate crisp of buttered crumbs on top, and the black bean burger, rich and light at the same time, and loaded with flavor, served on toasted bread that had a homemade, chewy quality. service was great, but only three tables were occupied at the time, including ours. i would definitely return.

A new chef on the scene and what a disappointment! Appetizer of steamed mussels arrived in a pool of sand and mud. Waitress seem embarrassed about that. Entrees very mediocre and poorly presented. The new chef obviously doesn't know that you must let your meat rest before cutting it. Ours arrived in a pool of juices rendering the meat dry and tasteless. A lot of money spent for a meal I could have done better myself.

Great food. Simple and elegant menu done in a straightfoward, but creative style. The Rack of Lamb is excellent and the Specials could be Gumbo, Risotto or a Simple Seafood Dish. Their Homemade desserts are simply delicious. Order the Proiteroles. I would tell everyone to give it a try. They are small so it is best if you make a reservation.They are open for lunch too. It is as good as their dinner
