This place was terrible. The staff was very rude.

We had a deeply disappointing breakfast here last spring. Their do-it-yourself seating/ordering system seemed absurd and required far too much explanation. We had to fetch our own drinks in a tightly packed dining area teeming with other drink-fetchers. Highly annoying, to say the least. When the food finally arrived, my friend's pancakes were rubbery, and the butter smelled and tasted like onion. My smoked salmon scramble was alternately rubbery and watery, as well as greasy. The salad was passable, but the potatoes were also greasy. This food was incredibly unappetizing. When the bill for $27 arrived, I wanted to put out an APB for Carol, who used to run one of the best breakfast places in the county on this very site. We lived in the NY Metro area for years, so we're no strangers to high prices, but we expect value for our money. Paying too much for bad food infuriates us. We'll keep driving to Sherrie's in Manchester, VT when we want a good breakfast.
