Located on sunny south-west facing slope in the highest valley of the Upper Engadin, Pontresina is a strung out village in the midst of thich pine and larch forests. The majestic Piz Bernina rises 4000m above. Runs of up to 10km through stunning glacier scenery.ActivitiesSnowboarding: Snowboarding is available with a terrain park and a halfpipe.Cross Country Profile: 180 km of cross country trails are available.LodgingOver 5,500 beds are available 1 km from the slopes; additional lodging available nearby.Winter RecreationSnowboarding, cross country (some night time trails), off-piste, glacier, ice skating, curling, ice hockey, horse-drawn sleigh rides, tobogganing, dog sledding, and winter hiking. Also paragliding, indoor swimming pool, sauna, indoor tennis, climbing wall, fitness center, and massage. (Statistics are for the St. Moritz/Engadin region.)
