One of Switzerland's oldest and most picturesque villages, just north of the St Gotthard Pass and thus earning the nickname crossroads of the alps. The village is compact with limited nightlife, the ski area is normally snowsure.ActivitiesSnowboarding: Snowboarding is available, including a terrain park and halfpipe. Snowboarding school, rentals and Boardercross slopes also are available.Cross Country Profile: 39km of cross country skiing is available. LodgingLodging is available on site; 1500 beds. Additional hotels are located nearby,as well as overnight camping facilities.Winter RecreationSnowboarding, cross country, tobogganing, telemark, sleigh rides, sleigh dogs, curling, ice climbing, ice hockey, moonlit skiing, and ice skating. Also indoor swimming, indoor tennis, fitness center, climbing wall, paragliding, and a sports hall.
