Wildcat in Jackson is a throwback to the way skiing used to be and, some say, ought to be. The culture is laid back and the mountain often can throw tough stuff at you. Wildcat is a favorite of skiers and riders who like their trails to challenge them. Fancy outfits are worn elsewhere. This is the real thing. The resort offers snowmaking on 90 percent of its 220 acres. ActivitiesSnowboarding: One terrain park on the Cheetah slope featuring a variety of table tops, hits, rollers, spines, and a halfpipe. Snowboarding allowed on all open trails. Rentals and lessons available in the base lodge.Cross Country Profile: Ten miles of trails for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Wild Fun at Wildcat

Great grooming, the fastest quad in New England (just 6 min. up 2100+ vertical feet), long leg-burner trails and INCREDIBLE vistas of Mt. Washington and Tuckerman's Ravine. Reasonable $$ for big mountain skiing that lasts until late April.
