Its true!
By STEVEN G, 12/15/10
Everything you have heard about Whistler is true. Once you have been to the resort you will find yourself returning time after time - simply because there is so much to do and see and if you are skiing the mountains will certainly outlast your legs. The resort itself is spread over two villages,Whistler and Blackcomb, with a free shutle or four minute walk separating the two. (A third area-Slopeside- is currently being developed and has a range of facilities but is slightly further out). Blackcomb , (also known as the Upper Village),is the smaller of the two villages and is home to the three more prestigeous hotels, (Chateau Whistler, Four seasons and Intrawest). It has a few bars and restaurants and its own ski-school and is ideal for anyone looking for a quieter area with the ability to visit the hustle and bustle when desired. Whistler is the larger village- with a whole range of bars restaurants and shops. It has a lively atmosphere and is exciting and dynamic at night,(but I have never seen any trouble even later at night so it is perfectly suitable for families particulaly with older children). If you have never been to the resort and are wondering wether to take the plunge go ahead- you wont look back and like the rest of us will spend the remainder of the year planning your next visit.

Where to stay at Whistler
By David M, 2/5/10
Best place to stay in Whistler is the Chateau Bambi which is a bed and breakfast. The Swiss ski team stays there every year when they are in Whistler practicing. Great owners, Great food. Reasonable prices.

Whistler is an amazing place!
By BigVince, 10/11/08
My wife and I travelled to Whistler in January of 2000 with our 1 year old. We stayed at the Chateau Whistler and enjoyed a great week! I spent a few days skiing (on a glacier too!) and the rest of the time was spent relaxing and enjoy the snow and the mountains. Both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains are awesome - this has the most terrain and the biggest verticle in North America! You have to see this place to believe it!
