Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in Norden is only a three- hour drive from San Francisco. It offers 84 named trails spread over 1,500 acres, and has undergone a 10 year, 50 million dollar redevelopment that includes five high-speed quads serving four different mountain peaks.
Activities
Snowboarding: All 84 trails are open for snowboarding. There are two terrain parks and a scorpion cut halfpipe. Full snowboard and boot rental facility. New this year will be an intermediate fun-for-all park. A family park for beginners and children will be sculpted out on Nob Hill.
Cross Country Profile: Direct access to Royal Gorge, the largest cross country center in North America.
Lodging
The Inn at Sugarbowl offers 27 hotel rooms slopeside. Additional lodging 10 minutes away in Truckee including The Best Western Truckee Tahoe Inn and the Richardson House Bed and Breakfast Inn.
