Late May trip
By Clark, 5/25/11
Wow - perfect weather and great snow. 40s in the AM and 55 by the PM. People were great. Golfed down the road the next day and headed back to the bay that night. Life is sweet in NorCal.

One of the top resorts anywhere.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/2/11
Why do I like this place? I'm a double diamond skier and this hill keeps most boarders and p*ssies at other resorts.

Max Nov snow!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/10
Most snow ever in Nov. Thirty plus years skiing Squaw and I like skiing the woods off Granite Chief after a warm up on Solitude. Back side of Emigrant and a nice trail ride down Bullet off of Headwall lift. Don't miss the saddle from kt lift and on a good day of new snow the sun bowl off the headwall chair. Try it. There is no where like it. BTW I'm 70.

Spring Break Trip
By quin, 4/17/10
Stayed at the Squaw Valley Lodge for 5 nights-a true ski in/ski out property. Great room- #346-slope side- close to the Squaw One Express lift. Only downside with this room Lots of noise at night when the snowcats were moving snow. Note that Not all lifts operate everyday-depends on crowd size. Locales that I talked to said that after a storm is when the locals and skiers from Sacramento and even SanFran show up in mass (as large as Squaw is I can't imagine the place being that crowded). I never waited more then 3 mins in a lift line and that was at the Funitel in the early morning when everyone was getting in the first runs of the day. Look at taking a early ride up the Red Dog lift for a warm up run then head to the Funitel for the ride to High Camp. Once at High Camp ski down to Emigrant-ride to the top and plan where to go next. I Liked the Shirley Lake and Solitude lift service areas--not to crowded. Equipment rental at Squaw was fast and easy with prices as competitive with others in the area but with the convenience of onsite service if required which I did and it was provided without a hassle. Will I go again-yes Value for the money-yes

Huge Mountain
By Just call me Dad!, 1/19/10
Squaw is a huge resort that boasts great terrain for all levels. Do you really think you are a good skier or snowboarder? Come on out and test your perceived talent. If you think you are good enough, come visit the real experts on KT-22. This mountain will break your ego.
