Go often!!
By Lisa, 2/8/11
Go a 2-3 times a season for the last 6 years. Great quick get away when you can't make it out west or north. The Military appreciation is outstanding! Mid-week hotel and ticket deals are great. Mountain can be a bit icy after snowboards slide sideways down the hill, scraping the snow off, but other than that it's well groomed and clean.

Not Bad...Will Go Back
By JackW, 2/27/09
Went for along weekend over President's Day. Had heard the lift lines were brutal. Proved to not be the case. The longest line was 20m. Most were just a couple min's, especially early and late and at lunch. Runs fun. It's not Colorado...more like NE. Pretty icy, but well groomed. One negative comment, the catwalks are a challenge not because of the steepness (which they are) but for the narrowness. Combine this with the relative inexperience of the typical Mid-Atlantic skier and little bombing snowboarders and there's the potential for some crashes, which were witnessed. The resort itself is at the top of the mountain. Can be windy. First night there 75 mph winds and colder than h%ll. But the resort village is beautiful as is the entire area. Be prepared for 2 hours of the twisty-ess two-lane roads you can imagine going in and out of the place. There are no easy ways. Had one person each way get car sick...
