NO MERCY
By wuhyok, 3/3/13
I don't like this place because there policy sucks. THEY DON'T GIVE CANCELLATION OR TRANSFER OF YOUR LIFT TICKETS IF YOU BUY IT ONLINE. THEY JUST TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LET IT GO USELESS. REMEMBER, WHATEVER YOU PURCHASE, THEY ARE GONE IF YOU ARE NOT THERE. . THEY HAVE NO MERCY AT ALL FOR GIVING YOU CREDIT ON WHAT YOU SPEND TO THEM. NO MERCY NO CREDIT NO SERVICE HANG UP ON YOUR CALLS.

Good parks
By Charlie, 7/5/10
I am a freestyle skier and I am most pleased with the jumps, boxes, jibs, and rails. I learned to do most of my tricks there. Along with that, they make sweet moguls and nice corduroy ready to shred. The food is OK and the night skiing is great. The only drag is the slow lifts. I just want to go to the park but the little kids can't even get on the lift so it keeps stoping. HAHAHAHAHAHAHLOL. lmao

70+ skiers welcome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/10
I am a 70+ skier who skied in VT in my earlier years ("Mad River - ski it if you can!") and I enjoy skiing here. It is 25 minutes from my house, you get a $100. season ticket (over 70 yrs. old), so I go mornings and leave when the kiddies come after 1:30 - 2PM. I enjoy the hill, not too challenging for my old bones, but plenty of runs and usually also snow, they "bank" it cleverly in moguls. I just wish there were less boarders and they would ride in control. Got wiped out badly from behind by a young dude and not even a "sorry". Since I ski mostly alone, I devised a game to stay interested: when you are on the chairlift look at the number of the chair in font of you, and then see by how many chairs you can beat that number when you get on again after your run. My best so far is 24, give it a try. And have fun, it's easy at this place.

Just Not Worth It! :-(
By Hunter A. Olson, 1/19/10
Ski Sundown offers no challenge for skiers and you can count on getting terrible conditions. it is just a disappointment to bring the kids to a ski resort and all they want to do is home. What is that worth for a $40 ticket? Think about going to Butternut. But i do have to admit that you get night skiing and and are able to ski fresh corduroy when they groom it. But still I DON"T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

School visit
By Patty, 1/15/10
I am used to skiing Vermont but this place is ok. If you are a skier that enjoys big and long runs find somewhere else to ski. This is not a mountain, it is a hill. There is no tree skiing. Also there are only about 15 trails. 4 of them are catwalks. There is black diamond and blues and greens. WARNING: this is a Family or beginner hill. Do not expect great terrain or a lot of snow. Overall this is a good hill to learn how to ski. Another WARNING: Do not go on fridays there are about 500 kids on the hill due to ski clubs. Lastly it has a way better cafeteria than Southington.
