Shawnee Mountain Ski Area has earned a reputation for aggressive snowmaking and quality grooming. Located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, Shawnee offers day and night skiing, snowboarding and a tubing park.ActivitiesSnowboarding: New Incubator Terrain Park complementing Shawnee’s huge 3000’ Bushkill Super Park. Located on the Country Club Slope and offers beginner/novice skill level rails, boxes and snow features. The Incubator Park will serve as a learning area for those Riders and Skiers not yet at a comfortable skill level to challenge the Bushkill Park. Formal lessons in the new Incubator Park will be available through the Shawnee Ski and Snowboard School. LodgingShawnee Inn is located five minutes from the ski area; additional lodges are available nearby. Shawnee village offers deluxe condominium units with transportation.Winter RecreationSnowboarding, snowtubing park, and night skiing on site. Ice fishing, ice skating, indoor tennis, movies, and swimming nearby.

vertical drop boast should be investigated

Years ago when Shawnee first opened, the vertical drop was 450'. Now it is 700' What did they do, dig a hole at the bottom or pile some dirt and/or manure on top ??? If Shawnee is 700" and Camelback's published vertical is 805", an independent measure institute certainly is in order. Any skier skiing both places would estimate at least a 300' difference in vertical. The parking lots are muddy. -------Hey , maybe that's it !!!!! Put some foot rests on that new quad. Also some rubber "hose" on the other lift's foot rests.

Ski for free on Costume Day..

I also have a buddy pass and go every weekend. If you go early in the morning, it is empty and like having a private ski hill. There are never any lines and their new super fast lift is very fast. I go out west twice a year, but I enjoy Shawnee. They try hard to have good snow on the mountain. The last day of the year you ski for free in a costume, and can win a free pass for the following year, which I have won.

Great Local Ski Area

This is a great local area especially for intermediates and beginners. The parking is close by and easy, and the locker room is quite convenient, costing only 75 cents for lockers. The hills are well groomed, and the lift lines are short. It makes a wonderful day trip.

I go there every weekend , I LOVE IT

I have only good things to say about Shawnee. There's never a lift line,the terrain park is awsome, the staff is friendly & the buddy pass season tickets makes it very reasonably priced for a family!

This place Sucks!

Lousy lifts... rude staff... that guy with the beard who walks around yelling at the staff should maybe try to do some work himself! I'll NEVER go back!

Great For Family

This is a great area for families. IVery reasonably priced, it never gets too crowded and the terrain park is a lot of fun, even for beginner skiers. It can be tough to find a seat in the lodge at lunch time, but overall you will have a great day
