Nestled on the edge of the Grand Mesa, just 35 miles from Grand Junction, Powderhorn has exceptional views with a friendly personal atmosphere. In its unique location, where the desert meets the mountain, youll find red cliffs, canyon country and vineyards less than an hour away from the snowy slopes. This family resort is best known for its hassle free days and modern base area facilities. You wont spend your day waiting in long lift lines. Powderhorn is proud of its groomed corduroy but there are plenty of challenging bumps and trees to play in too. Powder stashes can be found all day on Powderhorns uncrowded slopes.
Activities
Snowboarding: All trails are open to snowboarders. An intermediate terrain park is located under the main lift and a beginner park is available on the beginner hill for the 2004-2005 season. Both of the terrain parks can be seen from the day lodge.
Cross Country Profile: Rentals and groomed trails available six miles south of Powderhorn on top of the Grand Mesa.
