Mad River Glen is Vermont's throwback ski area. The resort is located in Waitsfield, close to the much larger and more stylish Sugarbush. Mad River Glen offers many unique features, such as the nation's last surviving single chairlift. The resort's skier-owners and management strive to enhance the Mad River Glen experience rather than change or overhaul it, even though the area has undergone sizable capital improvements. ActivitiesSnowboarding: Mad River Glen does not permit snowboarding.Cross Country Profile: Ole's Cross Country Center and the Blueberry Lake Cross Country Center are just down the road.
