June Mountain is in the Eastern Sierra peaks, past its bigger sister, Mammoth. The runs for beginners are wide open and forgiving and yet there's plenty of intermediate terrain and challenge. It's great for families, too. All the trails eventually end up at the Chalet. The skiable terrain covers 500 acres on a 2,589-foot vertical drop. The top of the mountain is 10,135 feet. ActivitiesSnowboarding: Three terrain parks, a super pipe, and two jib parks. Lessons and rentals available.Cross Country Profile: Nearby Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center offers 45km of groom tracked, ski skating and snowshoeing trails.LodgingNumerous lodges, chalets, cottages, town homes, and hotels all within driving distance of June Mountain. Double Eagle Resort and Spa offers guests seclusion and on-mountain pampering.Winter RecreationJune Unbound Super Pipe, on Chalet, features 16-foot walls. Cut every night during the season.
