The prices are the big reason to ski at Great Divide, because they are always far less than their bigger competitors. The snow is well-managed and there is a 1,330 vertical drop. The problem comes in the rather light natural snowfall average of only about 150 inches. Great Divide is almost always the first ski resort to open in Montana. ActivitiesSnowboarding: All 100 trails and glades are open to all snowsports equipment along with a terrain park on the lower mountain. Upper mountain features a significant array of natural terrain features including cornices, cliffs, and chutes.LodgingMany major national chains and independant hotels, motels, and B&Bs are located in Helena, 22 miles away. A few cabins and B&Bs are located in Marysville which is only 1.5 miles away.Winter RecreationSkiing, snowboarding, skiboarding.
