Bridger Bowl Ski Area has a goal of offering a quality ski experience at an affordable price, and does not disappoint. With a reputation for light, fluffy "cold smoke," and plenty of it, Bridger is a haven for extreme skiers and riders, who often show up just for the 20-minute hike to "The Ridge," accessing endless steep chutes and open powder fields. Families will love it here, too, as Bridger offers plenty of moderate terrain and a great, small town atmosphere. Weekdays are best, when crowds are virtually nonexistent. ActivitiesSnowboarding: All 69 slopes and trails are open to snowboarders and several competitions are held each season including the Wild West Shred o' Fest in February.Cross Country Profile: Over 30 kilometers of ground trails are located just one mile north at the Bohart Cross Country Ranch. Unlimited terrain also is available in the surrounding national forest.LodgingBridger Bowl's registration office represents most Bozeman hotels, as well as several B&Bs and guest houses near the mountain.Winter RecreationBozeman is an active community and university town with activities including cross country skiing, ice climbing in nearby Hyalite Canyon, and ice skating at public outdoor rinks.
