Description

Brian Head Resort offers skiers more than 500 acres of uncrowded terrain and more than 400 inches of that famous Utah flake that seems to fall with such regularity every year. A popular drive destination from Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Southern California since 1965, Brian Head Resort has more than 50 runs on its two mountains. The area fields an impressive learner's area, long cruisers, short mogul fields and sun-dappled days in the glades. Brian Head is set amidst the backdrop of the spectacular red-rock formations of Cedar Breaks National Monument. There are three terrain parks; two on-mountain ski and snowboard rentals shops; ski and snowboard lessons available through the resort's Winter Sports School; inexpensive lift/lodging packages; dining; and shopping. Expert skiing/snowboarding is available via snowcat to Brian Head Peak, conditions permitting. Night skiing and boarding is available Friday, Saturday, and holiday evenings. ActivitiesSnowboarding: Three terrain parks: one beginner, one intermediate level, and one advanced. The parks feature more than 30 snow features, rails, and fun boxes. Isolated terrain features will be built around the resort's two mountains. Tools and benches are provided at the top and bottom of chairlifts, and a large supply of spare binding parts are available at the two rental shops.Cross Country Profile: A town trail network allows guests to access all Brian Head businesses and accommodations, as well as a 50 km network of scenic trails surrounding Brian Head. Three hundred kilometers of backcountry routes. Favorite trails include the North Rim Trial at Cedar Breaks National Monument and a trip to our early heritage on the Pioneer Cabins Trail.LodgingThere are over 3,000 lodging units in the area, ranging from inexpensive hotel rooms in Cedar City and Parowan to luxury hotel accommodations, cabins, and condos on the mountain. There are approximately 1,500 pillows available near the slopes in Brian Head. The Cedar Breaks Lodge & Spa, a Monarch Grand Vacations Resort, is located adjacent to the resort's Navajo Lodge Learning Center, and offers the finest lodging accommodations and amenities available in Brian Head. The lodge features 118 comfortable, spacious newly remodeled villas; all equipped with fireplaces, full kitchens or kitchenettes, and whirlpool tubs. The property also has a 24-hour front desk, underground parking, an indoor pool, two large hot tubs, steam room, dry sauna and an exercise/weight room. The lodge features two restaurants and a bar on property, and its day spa offers a variety of services ranging from traditional bodywork to the cutting edge in energy therapies. Winter RecreationGuests like to “Burn Rubber” at the Resort’s Snow Tubing Park, where a surface lift whisks them up to the top of the hill and six tubing lanes to choose from. Snow Bikes, miles of Nordic skiing and snowshoe trails extend around Brian Head, snowmobiling, NASTAR and more.
