Day 1 - Around 8:30am, leave for Greenwich Connecticut. Get to Bruce Museum before it opens at 9:30. Check out the Jan van der Heyden exhibition. From there, head to Bridgeport CT. Get to PT Barnum museum around 11:30. From there go to Hartford CT. First stop is the Wadsworth -take a guided tour, check out Dali painting, Chagall Next stop, Mark Twain's House about a 10 minutes drive from the Wadsworth. Take a tour of the house. This was a nice, relaxing getaway for my husband and I as we celebrated our 1st anniversary. A few notes: The hotel was awesome! I've stayed at Hilton Gardens before, but none that were as nice as this one. The staff was friendly and accomodating. They upgraded us to a huge suite with whirlpool tub. The bed has a dial on it to adjust the firmness of the mattress. Breakfast was included and was standard hotel buffet plus items such as french toast or eggs made to order.
