My husband and I stayed here for a romantic getaway. It was the perfect place for an older couple looking to get away from a hectic life and kids for a couple of days. It has a great location right on the beach with great restuarants near by. There is a need for repairs but we saw work being done. This is an old inn not new and fancy. It's very quiet and not a place where children would probably enjoy staying -especially older ones.

Buildings under rehabilitation. Electricity was out for the night. Constant rebuilding going on. Maid service not consistant. Shortage of towels and service. Don't forget any items they have a throw out policy and do not return anything. I will never go back here.

The pictures on their website and elsewhere online do not depict the condition of this hotel. It is very run down, the staff seem unmotivated and the breakfast was minimal at best. Lauderdale by the sea is, in general, run down and all accomodation is in need of improvement -- shame on them for charging that kind of money to stay there.
