I've stayed in this hotel many times while traveling to Japan and later housed business associates here when I was living in Tokyo for two years. I was never disappointed. It is convinient to Shinjuku station but far enough away to avoid the noise and traffic. There are scores of excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk and like all of ...

Spectacular Lodging for First Timer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/08
This my mine and my wife's first time in Tokyo and I don't think we could have been happier with our choice in hotels. The Century Hyatt is in a nice, quiet part of this bustling city and only a 10 minute walk from the action of Kabuki-cho (if that's your thing). Shinjuku station is also only a few minutes walk, but like another ...

Very Disappointed

Stayed at Hyatt Regency at Kyoto for 3 nights which was great and was expecting the same at Century Hyatt but were first of all met by a rude guy at check in - asked for an upgrade, was told your room is already nice -which wasnt - aircon didnt work well, musty smell in the rooms and corridor, old furniture, old tv, rollaway bed squicked. Paid ...

stayed for 4 nights, in July/August.
LOCATION - very far from JR shinjuku station, but close to another station called 'tochomae' station, which is from another group. have to take 1 station to shinjuku and change to other lines there.
ROOM - ordinary. i expect a much much better room when i paid around USD$ 250 for a room for two of ...
The room I stayed in (on the 19th floor) had next-to-zero air conditioning. Hotel staff took a look at it and claimed nothing wrong. But it was obvious since the windows are covered with vapor which is a sign for humidity. Also there is no free water in the frige, and no breakfast tickets (as given for free in, for example, Westin in Ebisu). Overall, un-impressive value for the price.
Stayed here in 2002. Delightful, extermely polite service, (relatively) large rooms, and all you would expect from a high quality metropolitan hotel. Well worth the money and convenient regular shuttles to popular shopping areas and train stations.

A wonderful hotel with great amenities. Location is close to the subway. Shinjuku station only minutes away. $20 to use the pool was the only thing I thought was a little ridiculous.
Hotel bars, shops, restaurants are all excellent. Hotel employees are all wonderful.
I would definitely stay here again.
