Expensive, small elevator, long lines for elevator, small bed for two. It is a small full. Small room.
Location was great and desk people were nice, but I feel it was a ripoff. Plus, there was a huge spider waiting for us in the bathroom!!

I went to the Allerton with trepidation after I read the reviews. However, I am pleased to say I had a fabulous stay. The room was clean and perfect for just one person. Yes, the elevators are small...but for the price who the heck cares?! The fitness center was great...yes, it's on the 25th floor and the elevators only go to the 24th...but ...

The type of place to stay when you need a retreat with your spouse! Very cozy rooms, bar area was relaxing, staff was very friendly. Walk out the front door and you are right where you need to be! would return, hopefully soon!! Thank you Allerton!

We really liked this hotel! It's right off of Michigan Avenue & we had great experience with the concierge and at the newly remodeled bar. Took a peak at the ballroom on the top floor and it's really beautiful--a secret gem in this city, I'd say!
Some of the desk staff could use a public relations/customer service course(management-please invest in this), but overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

It is a beautiful hotel located directly on Michigan Avenue. The hotel is under a renovation currently (expected to be completed beginning of March 2008) and the new rooms are stunning! It is THE place to stay when in Chicago!
