Great front desk staff the minute you walk in. Clean, well lit. Convenient to the Lincoln Museum area. Lots of business people use this one as well as elderhostel groups.
The front desk staff appears very professional. We never felt afraid on their property, enjoyed the free wireless internet.
Wish they didn't charge for their breakfasts. So ...

I thought this was a nice hotel in Springfield. I liked the elevators, which faced the new State Capitol. Here were some pros. and cons.

They do not carry the Fox News channel. Come on...the #1 News Channel and they don't carry it. The room smelled. The service was fine and they have an easy check in/out procedure. But I won't be going back until they get FOX NEWS!!!

I spent four nights recently at this hotel. The accommodations were excellent. Secretary booked me here for trip to Springfield. Found this not like usual Hilton as it was older. Rooms were pricey and on top of that I had to pay for parking! Geesh... Probably won't be staying there again.

We were there from July 5th - July 9th for Illinois Rainbow Grand Assembly. Wednesday & Thursday went pretty smoothly. In town to catch a concert and take in some of the Lincoln sites, my family and I picked the Hilton in Springfield to show the kids what a nicer hotel was like. Overall, we liked the hotel for many reasons and disliked for only a couple.

Room had mold odor and they refused to move me. Had to stay there for convention and was totally disappointed. Glad the company paid for this and not me. Got home and am still sneezing!

I have stayed several times in this hotel and have always been pleased with my room and the eating places. My only negative comment has ALWAYS been the service. Not with the wait staff but with the in-house staff. I found most of them to be a bit arrogant and "too busy" to provide service that is focused.
