The place has some of the best service I have ever experienced which is why I find some of the other reviews to be way off base. It is in downtown Scottsdale and you can really walk to many attractions. Our room was large and had a cool bath tub. Also, each room had a private patio and great HD television. Zuzu was great for breakfast and Trader Vic's was awesome for the one dinner we had at the hotel.

The staff was great but that is where it ends!!!! The beds are hard and uncomfortable around 11pm there was music blasting outside our room I called the Front Desk and was told they'll check on it by 1am I had enough packed up my things,walked out to find there was a wedding going full swing. Where was the MOD at this point? 1 is way to late for other guests to put up with this kind of noise.

When I got there I was greeted by the friendly valet, they took my luggage out of the car and then the bellman came rushing to my side with a bell cart and a cold bottle of water! Superb service and a wonderful room - large private bath with really large ergonomic tub - perfect for long hot soak. Steam room is tops. The concierge was really helpful kept my wife from getting lost in Phoenix. Food in restaurant was good - have the goulash. Really liked the ambiance very cheerful wonderful color schemes. Centrally located.
Will stay there again.

Service at this place is just awful! Good location, but the service is rude. Young staff is immature and doesn't care. But rudeness is unacceptable.

They were rude, overcharged us for many different things, messed up billing, staff were all young and immature! Do NOT stay here..(And I never write reviews)

I did not enjoy my stay here. The staff was rude and they changed my room to a different one which I did not like because they charged me more than what I had expected to pay.
Do not stay in this hotel. It is way overrated and all I can say that "retro" stuff is really way overplayed.
