went for an overnight trip with the family. we lucked out and got one of the updated rooms at the west location. room was clean and fresh. quick walk to beach multiple restaurants and shopping. for the locations and price it couldn't be beat.

This was the worst experience of my travel life.
It was dingy smelly and very disapponting. Even the hotel clerk said we had the worst rooms in the entire motel. I checked in at midnight and checked out at 6 am the next morning that is how bad it was. I would never stay there or recommend this motel ever. Don't go there...

Well, let me just start by saying that the location of this hotel is ideal for travlers, it is in the center of everything. It is located on a quiet street 1 block from everything.
The service from the front desk to the maid service is unparalleled. And I have stayed at many places in beautiful Montauk including the Montauk Manor.

My wife and I stayed at Daunts last July. It was disgusting. The room was dingy and smelled awful.. We bought candles to attempt to hide the mildew-y/musty smell. I wish I had shower slippers and my own sheets, because I did not want to touch anything in the room. It was not worth whatever we paid. The location was nice, however, so that we did not have to spend much time in the room.

Had a great time. Within walking distance for: Breakfast, lunch, dinner,fishing, swimming (beach or the pool),or just a nice walk, jog, bicycle ride. Today i am booking a room for october. Priced right!

Motel location is close to all be it the beach or town. My kids enjoyed the pool and the playground and can't wait to go again this summer!!!
