Our room was very clean and we lucked out and got a 4th floor corner room, therefore we had two windows (1 on 2 separate walls). One overlooked the seawall and the other, our balcony and the pool next door. Balcony was nice too. The a/c was very cool and we slept well. Improvements that need to be made: 1) Better insulation in the walls - we ...

Reservation problems
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/14/07
I made a reservation for the night of the 26th of Jnuary '08 prior to taking a cruise the next day. The day after, I called to check on the reservation and to ask a question. They had no reservation under my name or the confirmation number. I hung up and made a reservation at Holiday Inn. When I made the reservation I gave them my credit card ...

Just average

We liked the location of the hotel. We walked across the street to the beach. Although, the Seawall has A LOT of traffic in the afternoon and evening. The Mexican restaurant in the parking lot had great Margaritas...Monday was Margarita Madness which were CHEAP! And we could walk back to the hotel. Fajitas were not bad either. As far as ...

Great hotel for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 06/13/07
We would definitely go back to this hotel if in Galveston. Great location, accross from the fishing pier and beach. It was quiet, clean and the staff was very friendly. We stayed on the 5th floor towards the front of the hotel and the view was great. We like the idea of a private balcony. Breakfast was very nice.
We highly recommend this hotel. Great for families!

Great View/Bad Experiences
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/24/06
I showed up way early (based on one review I read) and was able to get nice room with a view, but they wouldn't let me move into it until 3 pm (which was fine - check in time was 4).
I messed around, came back, and as it turns out the room couldn't be moved into due to maintenance issues. So, they bumped me upstairs. Hint: if you stay ...

Disappointed this time.
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/23/06
This was our second stay this facility. We were there in September 2005 and only complaint was the cleaniness of the pool and spa. This time, July 2006, was a different story. We requested a non-smoking room--received a smoking room (third floor is apprarently the smoking floor) and the hallway was horrible. The elevators were not working the ...

Clean, comfortable, and excellent location
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/17/06
Microwave and refrigerator in every room was fantastic since we had a baby with us. The room was very clean and comfortable. And the location is great.(on the beach and close to moody gardens and schlitterbahn) Staff was very polite and the indoor smimming pool was great. Our stay was very pleasant.

Nice, big rooms with views
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 01/13/06
Just off the seawall, next to a mexican restaurant. All rooms have some view, but ask for the rooms at the front of the hotel as they have GREAT views. Those rooms are first-come-first-served, so check in as early as possible. Stay on the east side of the hotel, as the west side is next to two late-night drive thru restaurants.
Breakfast ...
