When I was a youngster in the mid 60's, we came up to Whitehall a number of times....we stayed Murray's resort, sometimes in the lodge and sometimes renting a cabin up the hill. Is Hollister's the Waters Edge the same place under new ownership? On my way to Ludington a few years back I stopped by, but there was what looked like run-down apartments right next to the beach at White Lake by the channel to Lake MI. Just curious.

Great location. This is one of the most peaceful places I know. I have stayed at the place 2-3 times a year (spring,summer & fall) for over ten years. If you are looking for a 4 star hotel you have the wrong place, but if you want a nice place really close to the water go to Hollister's Waters Edge. I have gone with both my family for beach time and by myself to fish. Great owner and GREAT place to relax.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. You are able to walk to Lake Michigan, walk the pier, or do fishing.

The place needs some major work. We saw mouse droppings in the kitchen. There was broken paddles for the canoe's and they were full of water. The paddle boat was broken. Every one of his boat's had some sort of problem with it. The ...

It is absolutly beautiful the lodge sits between White Lake and Lake Michigan, you have the best of both worlds. It is a very friendly atmosphere, clean, relaxing.
